Partnership Meetings

The Partnership meeting is a high level forum for mutual accountability, enabling a review of progress, challenges and bottlenecks, lesson sharing, consultation and advocacy. Partnership meetings take place every second year, or as otherwise agreed by the Partnership. As convenient, they are held in conjunction with the EFA High Level Group meetings or other Global Partnership for Education meetings.

Board of Directors Meetings

The Board of Directors is the supreme governing body of the Global Partnership for Education. It can meet as often as necessary, but not less than twice per year. At these meetings, the Board of Directors sets policies and strategies as well as reviews and approves objectives for the Global Partnership for Education.

Financial Advisory Committe Meetings

The Financial Advisory Committee (FAC) is a newly-established committee of the Board of Directors. The FAC held its first in-person meeting on 16 May 2011 in Kigali, Rwanda. The FAC can meet annually, in person, to review the status of the portfolio of grants, including grants for implementation of education plans, other in-country work and global and regional activities, and any other matters that the FAC Chair determines shall be placed on the agenda; and also quarterly, to review proposals for grants from the Global Partnership for Education Fund for implementation of education plans.
