The Board of Directors met in Copenhagen, Denmark on November 9-10, 2011. Main agenda items included issues related to the results following the replenishment event, implementing the accountability matrix and results framework, the monitoring and evaluation strategy, implementing the strategic directions (girls’ education, fragile states, quality and learning outcomes), a report from the Financial Advisory Committee, status of the Global Partnership for Education Fund, policies on communications protocol on misuse of trust funds and conflict of interest, and a focus on the country support team within the Secretariat.

The Board of Directors came into effect in July 2009. Previous to that, the Steering Committee was the governing body of the Global Partnership for Education. The Steering Committee met in Copenhagen, Denmark, on April 19, 2009. Main agenda items included review of the work of the task teams on prioritization, replenishment and the new EPDF, governance issues, the external evaluation of the Global Partnership for Education, financing for the Global Partnership for Education Secretariat, the scope of the Global Partnership for Education and the Global Partnership for Education Fund.
