Meetings

FTI Partnership Meetings

All FTI Partners -donor & recipient countries, international development agencies and civil society- meet bi-annually at Partnership Meetings. The purpose of these meetings is to set the strategic policy direction for FTI, and review and address issues affecting progress towards the goal of universal primary education. The Partnership meetings provide an advocacy function in relation to the commitment of resources to the Initiative, and identify outstanding issues regarding support in specific countries, global support for FTI, and projected country financing gaps that require the attention of FTI partners. They also identify new mechanisms for increased resource mobilization.

FTI Board of Directors Meetings

The FTI Board of Directors provides overall policy guidance to the Initiative, gives direction to the Secretariat between Partnership meetings and helps ensure coordination.

FTI Technical Meetings

The FTI donor partners meet on a regular basis at Technical Meetings (at least twice a year) to address issues such as resource mobilization, communications, expansion, gender, HIV/AIDS and capacity building.
