Washington, DC, May 6, 2010 -- The EFA FTI Board of Directors agreed at its meeting on May 5 and 6 to increase the number of seats held by developing countries to equal that of donor organizations. Furthermore, as part of FTI reforms, a more effective governance system will be installed by the creation of a financial committee - overseen by the Board - to manage the FTI trust fund allocations. The Board also agreed to a new results-based approach for monitoring progress.
