March 2009 - The Education for All - Fast Track Initiative (EFA- FTI) will organize its biennial Partnership meeting on April 20 - 21 in Copenhagen, Denmark. The Partnership meeting, which is open to all EFA FTI partners, will focus on one overall theme: The Road to 2015. There will be discussions around three policy sub-themes that feed into the overall objective; i) Hard-to-reach children, ii) the quality of learning and iii) resource mobilization and aid effectiveness. These policy themes are of special relevance to the FTI as they directly relate to the operational strategies necessary to achieve Universal Primary Education before 2015. The Partnership meeting is a high level forum for mutual accountability, which allows its members to review progress and challenges and provides an opportunity for debate and knowledge-sharing. The 2009 EFA FTI Partnership meeting is followed by meetings of the Catalytic Fund Committee and Education Program Development Fund Committee on April 22nd, and by the Education Transition Fund Committee on April 23rd.
